Hyundai's first Genesis

The Hyundai Genesis outscored four competitors to become Consumer Reports top-rated vehicle in the competitive "Upscale Sedan" category, the website Motor Matters recently reported. The Genesis, which achieved an "Excellent" overall road test score, outranks 12 vehicles from Lexus, Acura, Lincoln and others. "The Genesis' performance in CR's battery of tests solidifies Hyundai's reputation as a builder of high-quality vehicles," Motor Matters opined.

Porsche's 2010 Panamera

Porsche's unique four-seater was conceived and designed as a four-door grand touring sports car, says the website Motor Matters, combining "numerous talents in typical Porsche style: sporting driving dynamics, a spacious interior and the supreme comfort of a Gran Turismo." Panamera comes with strongly contoured air intakes instead of a conventional radiator grille, striking wheel arches and a long and sleek engine compartment. The V-engines come with six or eight cylinders and output ranges from 300 to 500 horsepower. Power flows to the wheels through either a manual six-speed gearbox or seven-speed Double-Clutch Gearbox. No word yet on price.

Hyundai's unusual offer

Hyundai has an agreement with Walkaway USA, LLC to offer consumers financial protection in this uncertain economic environment. Hyundai will provide a complimentary 12-month return program that is financed or leased at participating dealers. "In this uncertain economy, we are looking for ways to reassure shoppers that Hyundai still represents the best value in the auto industry," said John Krafcik, acting president and CEO, Hyundai Motor America.
