When the new Interstate Hwy. 35W bridge over the Mississippi River opens Thursday, several roads and ramps modified to improved traffic flow when the old bridge went down Aug. 1, 2007 will revert back to their previous state.
But Hwy. 280 running through Roseville, Lauderdale and St. Paul will remain a freeway at least until next year when the Minnesota Department of Transportation plans to reconstruct the intersection at Larpenteur Avenue.
Officials from MnDOT, Ramsey County and the cities of Roseville and Lauderdale will speak and answer questions about how the redesigned intersection will impact traffic flow during an open house Wednesday.
