The barricades went up just before sunrise on Hwy. 280 in Roseville and they'll stay up for the next 6 weeks.

Starting Monday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation began rebuilding the ramp from northbound Hwy. 280 to northbound I-35W. The department also will be doing a pavement rehabilitation project between Broadway Street up to I-35W.

The ramp from southbound I-35W to southbound Hwy. 280 also is closed.

The highway does remain open between I-94 and Broadway Street, but there will be ramp and lane closures along that stretch.

During the closure, traffic on I-35W and I-94 will be detoured via Snelling Avenue/Hwy. 51. Local traffic will be detoured via Industrial Blvd. and Broadway Street.
