A Detroit Lakes man was accidentally shot and wounded while deer hunting in Swift County on Saturday.
Robert Schlieman, 36, was hunting north of Holloway when a deer ran between him and other hunters, according to a news release from the Swift County Sheriff's Office.
One of the hunters shot at the deer, and Schlieman was struck in the "left abdomen side of his body," the Sheriff's Office reported.
Schlieman was taken to Appleton Area Health Services hospital, and then flown to St. Cloud Hospital where he was in stable condition.
The incident is still under investigation.
