Bain Boehlke has found his Hamlet for the Jungle Theater's production opening at the end of August. Hugh Kennedy, a graduate of the Guthrie's BFA program, will take on the title role. Kennedy has been in three productions of "A Christmas Carol" at the Guthrie, along with roles in "Romeo and Juliet," "A View from the Bridge" and "The Government Inspector."
Boehlke, who said he's working on the production concept, had previously announced Michelle Barber as Gertrude and Bradley Greenwald as Claudius. As recently as January, though, the director still hadn't settled on the title character.
The show runs Aug. 26-Oct. 9 at the Jungle.
