How's this for a Saturday night of blues 'n' soul: Hubert Sumlin, Howlin' Wolf's guitarist who still has it; Willie Walker, who has the vintage Memphis soul sound; John Koerner & Tony Glover, Minneapolis blues-folk giants; Minneapolis' Butanes soul revue and Wisconsin's own Howard Luedtke and Blue Max.

It's being billed as the Silver Dome Ballroom Blues Party by Doug Myren, Minneapolis lawyer and music fan who runs the historic ballroom in Neillsville, Wis. (Everyone from Count Basie and Duke Ellington to Tommy James and George Jones has played at the place, which opened in 1933.)

It's only 10 bucks. Music goes from 5 p.m. till 12:30 a.m. Sounds like it could be worth the drive.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
