"The Kennedys" has found a home - one being operated by the Minnesota-based Hubbard family.

The miniseries starring Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes, was famously rejected by History Channel last month. It will now air on ReelzChannel, the independent cable channel operated by Hubbard Communications, starting on April 3. The Hollywood Reporter said the deal has been in the works for at least two weeks and that Reelz CEO Stan Hubbard signed off the deal after viewing the project last weekend.

"We think it will drive ratings and put a spotlight on this network that has never been on it before," Hubbard told the Reporter. "We're going to do a full-blown marketing campaign."

The 8-part series will launch on April 3 with the first two episodes; the rest will air on subsequent nights.

The History Channel, which invested $30 million in the project, declined to air it, saying that it did not fit the network's brand. Showtime also passed on the opportunity to broadcast the movie. It's unclear how much Hubbard paid for the project.
