April 23, 2009 at 7:30PM

Here is a sampling of temperatures Saturday across the Midwest andNortheast. Notice that all locations expect for lake fronts and high elevationscan expect highs in the mid-80s. Temperatures this warm do not become normaluntil late June and July. In other words, the hotter weather that occurs thisweekend is about two full months ahead of its time. This is not terribly unusual, though. It has been known to get pretty hot inApril before. Take the Easter Weekend of 1976 when highs were in the 90s fromIndiana to southern New England. In many locations, that April heat wave turnedout to be hotter than anything else that occurred during the summer.
