Capping the recently completed International Marimba 2010 Festival in the Twin Cities was a sold-out concert at the St. Paul Cathedral, where members of VocalEssence sang music of Stephen Paulus accompanied by four marimbas. The gorgeous world-premiere piece is called "Visions."
The Wall Street Journal ran a review that commented on many of the festival's concerts, from chamber to choral to the one with the Minnesota Orchestra that featured Nebojsa Zivkovic's Marimba Concerto No. 2, reviewed here.
