We always know how many people come to the Fair, because they count. We don't know how many leave the Fair, but we assume the numbers are roughly the same. What we don't know is the number of things at the Fair. Objects. Items. Ninety-nine percent will be gone by next week, carted off to storage or the landfill or some other commercial venture. How many things are there? A million? Ten? 123 million?

Don't ask me. Here are some of the Things found on a cabinet in the Ag building, subsection Honey, sub-node display case, sub-level "vintage honey-related containers." They give ribbons for everything. I got a ribbon for "Best Skeptical Look While Pretending To Evaluate Prize-Winning Corn," and I didn't do anything but stand in one place for a minute.

I'd forgotten that Sue Bee's previous look:

You can find these cans, and a few of the other 12,495,499 objects (I was just yanking your limb up above; they know the exact number of Things. Of course they know) in the Bee Wing. Look for the room with the wall of honey packaged in convenient ursine form:

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
