ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER

Makes 4 cups.

• 1/4 c. white vinegar

• 2 tsp. borax

• 31/2 c. hot water

•20 drops lemon or lavender essential oil, if desired

• 1/4 c. liquid dish soap

In a 32-oz. spray bottle, combine vinegar, borax and water; mix thoroughly. Add lemon or lavender drops, if desired, and liquid soap and mix thoroughly again.


FLOOR CLEANER

Makes about 7/8 cup.

• 1/8 c. liquid soap

• 1/4 to 1/2 c. white vinegar or lemon juice

• 1/2 c. peppermint herb tea (peppermint has antibacterial qualities)

Directions

Combine liquid soap, vinegar or lemon juice, and tea in a pail with 3 gallons of warm water. Swirl until sudsy.


GENTLE CLEANSER
Makes 1/2 cup or more.

• 1/2 c. baking soda

• Enough liquid soap or detergent to make into frosting-like consistency

Directions

Put baking soda in a bowl; slowly pour liquid soap, stirring continually. Add essential oil, if desired. Apply with a sponge or micro-fiber cloth. Rinse.


WINDOW CLEANER

Makes 21/4 cups.

• 1/4 c. white vinegar

• 2 c. water

Directions

Combine vinegar, liquid soap and water in a spray bottle and shake to blend.
