"Rogue One" is essentially a back story, based on a line from the original "Star Wars" film's scene-setting title crawl about Rebels stealing secret plans to "the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star."

It's a bracing adventure from a galaxy far, far away. Felicity Jones leads a diverse cast as another strong heroine, Jyn Erso, who leads a team of underdogs on what seems like a hopeless mission. We know how it turns out. Or do we? Disney/Lucasfilm deserves props for making bold choices.

The Blu-ray, out Tuesday, includes 75 minutes' worth of behind-the-scenes stories. The movie boasts fantastic audio and video. What's missing? Commentary by the filmmakers and any kind of tribute to Carrie Fisher, who died in late December just after the movie came out.

Also coming Tuesday

• "Don't Kill It"

• "Office Christmas Party"

• "Paterson"

• "Three"

• "We Go On"
