A cut above the rest
In the annals of improbable things happening in the movie industry, the travails of a struggling Chicago hair salon may have been the oddest formula ever for a film series. Yet Ice Cube's delightful "Barbershop" franchise remains a viable fan favorite. "Barbershop: The Next Cut" once again touches controversial social topics and attitudes with ridiculous humor and well-done horse sense. I would rather watch this than a post-apocalypse action movie any day.
