Travel across the Plains and Midwest will continue to be a nightmare today asblizzard conditions rage on from eastern Kansas and western Missouri into theDakotas and Minnesota.The worst travel conditions will stretch from eastern Nebraska to southeasternNorth Dakota and Minnesota. Within this zone, travel will likely become nearlyimpossible due to a combination of blowing and falling snow. The blowing anddrifting snow will drop visibility down to near zero for prolonged timeperiods. Conditions may become too adverse even for road crews, forcingofficials to close numerous interstates and local roads.
