CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE

Dec. 1-9: Experience a homespun holiday at Farmington's 19th-century Dakota City Heritage Village, which will be lit up with a warm glow for the season. Hoping for a new doll (or remote-control car)? Kids can pen their requests to Santa and personally give them to Mrs. Claus for delivery. Decorated buildings will be host to ornate Christmas trees, choral music and even fresh-baked cookies. Guests can also enjoy horse-drawn trolley rides. (1 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1-2 and Dec. 8-9. $3-$5. Dakota City Heritage Village, 4008 W. 220th St., Farmington. 651-460-8050.)
