Holiday in Hopkins

Hopkins is showing the suburbs how to spread seasonal cheer. Carolers set the mood as folks roast marshmallows, visit live reindeer or make an ornament. Those who haven't been on the naughty list can visit with Santa and give him their wish list. See a gingerbread house contest and a parade. The event culminates in a tree lighting. (Mainstreet, downtown Hopkins. 1-5 p.m. Sat. oldfashionedholiday.com.)
