Alaina: Edie Sedgwick.

Alexandria: Twiggy.

"We had a Beatle-themed wedding and these jackets were worn in the ceremony. We saw Paul McCartney in concert five times last year."

Q: What does counterculture mean to you?

A: Stepping outside the box, creating your own movement.

Zangs wore an ivory top and jeans from Free People, a Ralph Lauren vest, a vintage 1970s leather bag and Bed|Stü platform sandals.

A: Certainly the jackets. The shades, go-go boots. The outlandish, the militaristic and the Space Age.

Q: Describe the modern hippie.

A: My boyfriend, Jake Heinitz. Apart from the fact that he owns more tie-dye than I'd like to admit and has a thing for walking barefoot in public, his ideals regarding music and wellness seem inspired by the hippie culture.
