It never fails. More often than not, it seems, warmer weather prompts some St. Paul Winter Carnival adjustments.
The first to experience change is the carnival's ice carving competition. Organizers have decided to move the competition days to when it is expected to be cooler.
Multi-block ice carving was supposed to begin Thursday. Now, the competiton will start Saturday, Jan. 30 at 7pm in Rice Park and end at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 1.
Four teams are currently signed up.
