High winds will plague the Southwest into Wednesday. The strongest winds will persist into Tuesday evening through the Central Valley of California and the high deserts. During this time frame, gusts past 70 mph will occur, especially over the ridges. In addition to blowing dust and debris and minor structural damage, the strong winds will produce dangerous conditions for high-profile vehicles.

It will remain windy through the Southwest later Tuesday night and Wednesday, but wind speeds won't be quite as high as they are right now.
