One person is dead following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon in Carver County.
A 58-year-old woman from Dassel, Minn., died in the crash, which occurred about 2:40 p.m. on Hwy. 7 at Polk Avenue in Watertown Township, the State Patrol said.
The name of the victim was not released.
A man heading east on Hwy. 7 crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming Kia, killing the woman. The man, identified by the patrol as Daniel Wittenberg, 51, of Excelsior, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with noncritical injuries, the patrol said.
He was wearing a seat belt. It was not known if alcohol was factor, the patrol said.
