Collin Schroeder of Burnsville is preparing for life at Carthage College in Wisconsin after helping the Blaze to a third-place finish in the boys' lacrosse state tournament. A look at the recent grad:

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are: "I'm On One" by DJ Khaled Ft. Drake, Lil' Wayne and Rick Ross; "Ballin" by Young Jeezy; "On My Level" and "The Race" by Wiz Khalifa.

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me: Crazy; leader; intelligent.

What is your favorite meal prior to a game? Gatorade, Ramen, and any kind of fruit.

How did you balance school and sports during the year? I tried to get all my homework done in study hall, but if that didn't happen I would just make sure I wouldn't get distracted after practice so I could go do my homework.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? Politics.

At my first varsity practice, I felt ... intimidated, but ready for it.

How did you get started playing lacrosse? I started lacrosse in fifth grade because other friends were playing.

Do you have a secret talent -- and if so, what is it? I can make a lot of weird noises.

In 10 years, I hope I'm ... living in Boston, married, working for a large, well-known engineering company, and coaching youth lacrosse.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Never give up, and don't let anyone get in your way.
