Vikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin visited the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., on Tuesday, according to coach Brad Childress.
Childress confirmed Harvin's visit during his weekly appearance on Sirius NFL Radio. Harvin had told NBC's Andrea Kremer before Sunday's game at Carolina that he has been found to have two bulging disks in his neck and was going to visit the Mayo. Childress refused to confirm that fact following the Vikings' loss to the Panthers.
Harvin missed most of the past two weeks of practice and a game while dealing with migraine headaches but was able to play against Carolina. "I just talked to our trainer and he said [Harvin] had a great visit," Childress told Sirius "He had a good visit and made it through the snowstorm down and back and we'll just see how it goes going forward."
Harvin, the leading candidate for NFL offensive Rookie of the Year, had one reception for 10 yards and returned two kickoffs for 31 yards on Sunday.
