So, is the Percy Harvin saga coming to an end?
Hard to say. The good news for fans is that Harvin, who expressed unhappiness on Tuesday, whose request for a trade became public Wednesday, who skipped practice later that day, was back.
Harvin not only returned to the practice field Thursday for the final practice of mandatory mini-camp, but he took full part in a practice that focused on Red Zone offense and defense. Not only that, but if you read into his body language -- and, since he didn't talk to us, that's all we have to go on -- appeared to be upbeat. Indeed, Harvin was grinning and joking with teammates as he took the field.
After practice ended, Harvin was escorted off the field by a member of the team's public relations department. When asked if he would talk, he grinned and said, "I'll talk later."
I'm guessing that means a few weeks from now in Mankato.
Harvin might not have talked with the reporters present, but the following tweet showed up on his verified Twitter account after practice ended: "I'm really clueless on the crazy reports...had great prac today...to all my real fans and real vikes fans see u at Mankato...salute"
Here's what coach Leslie Frazier had to say on the issue:
Frazier said he talked, briefly, with Harvin since the receiver missed practice. "We talked about a couple things," Frazier said. "It's great to see him out there, with his teammates, and practicing. Just great to have him around."
