The Vikings got what appears to be a dose of good news a day before facing the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game.

Rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin, who missed practice on Thursday and Friday because of a recurrence of migraine headaches, was at the Vikings' facility this morning and is expected to be on the team's flight for New Orleans this afternoon, according to people with knowledge of the situation. Harvin appeared to "OK," according to those who saw him.

That would seem to be consistent with what Harvin has gone through on several occasions this season in the days leading up to games. Harvin missed several practices because of migraines but only one game. That came on Dec. 13 when the Vikings beat Cincinnati at the Metrodome.

That time period marked Harvin's most difficult with migraines since his sophomore year at Florida. Harvin, who has dealt with migraines since he was 10 years old, visited the Mayo Clinic in December and was pleased with the plan doctors developed for him to deal with the migraines.

The NFL offensive rookie of the year, Harvin's absence from Sunday's game would be a major blow because he not only is a threat on offense but also is the Vikings' primary kickoff return man.

Update: Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie put up a video on his Twitter page of Harvin at Winter Park today. McKinnie asks Harvin about his migraines. "I've tried everything," Harvin said. "Nothing works. I give up."
