UPDATE NO. 2: Hannibal Buress' love for the Twin Cities knows no bounds.

On Tuesday, the red-hot comic, who taped his recent Netflix special at the Varsity Theater, announced a last-minute concert at Acme Comedy Co. for 5 p.m. Thursday, March 10. Yes, 5 p.m. -- the time a lot of stand-ups are getting up from their afternoon naps. The $30 tickets sold out in two hours.

Wednesday afternoon, the comedian announced a second Acme show for Friday, also at 5 p.m., with tickets currently available at acmecomedycompany.com. But they may be gone by the time you're done reading this. He's THAT popular.

EARLIER UPDATE: Buress has added a 7:30 p.m show at Turf Club (maybe that explains the early-time slot at Acme). That show sold out too.

This past January, Buress praised the Twin Cites, in particular Acme, for its support early in his career.

"It's one of the cities -- and I think other comedians and musicians can relate to this -- where you're able to build a fan base there before you get them in other cities," said Buress who finally got the attention he deserved after shining the spotlight on accusations aimed at Bill Cosby. "It's a smart, savvy crowd. They're a little bit ahead of the curve."

He's also performing in Rochester at Goonie's Comedy Club (two shows on Wednesday night). Tickets here.
