Halftime report/ Love hurt

Forward out with groin injury

March 20, 2011 at 9:01PM

Just a quick update, with the second half about to begin with the Wolves down 57-48.

Kevin Love, who left the game with 3-plus minutes left in the first half after playing just 14 minutes, has a sore left groin and will not return. We should get a little more post-game. Love finishes with zero points and three rebounds. Love, who had his 53-game double-double streak ended at 53 games a few days ago, has now seen his 56-game streak of getting 10 or more rebounds ended as well. It is the longest such streak since at least the 1986-87 season.

It is just the second time this season Love has been held scoreless, the other coming against the Lakers. And though it is injury-aided, the Kings have now held Love to fewer than 10 points and 10 rebounds in the same game two times this season. It has only happened three times total.

I'll get back to you after the game.
