The board that oversees the Anoka-Hennepin School District, the state's largest, will get at least one new member when voters go to the polls Nov. 5.
Three of the six seats are on the ballot, including one held for 25 years by Michael Sullivan, who is not seeking re-election. Running for the District 4 seat are Williams Fields of Andover, Janelle Kirkeide and Paul Meunier.
Meunier is a former mayor of Ham Lake. Kirkeide, who has run for the Anoka County board, is married to Gary Kirkeide, another former Ham Lake mayor who was once defeated by Meunier. Gary Kirkeide has since been elected again to the City Council.
In District 3, Grace Baltich of Champlin, a social worker and community volunteer, is running against Bill Harvey, also of Champlin, who was appointed to the board in January. Harvey replaced John Hoffman, who was elected to the Minnesota Senate.
In District 6, Jeff Simon, who was named to the board last year after Kathy Tingel- stad resigned, is unopposed.
