From my colleague Jane Friedmann:

Three hair salons were fined in November for having expired licenses, according to orders recently made public by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners.

Jennifer N. Long held operator, manager and salon licenses. In 2007 she was found to be operating on an expired cosmetologist license. In 2008, when her salon license for Shear Magic in Madison, Minn., expired, she continued to operate. She agreed to a $2,600 fine and is not currently licensed.

Leanne Oftedahl held a salon license for Shear Country in Pemberton. Andrea Peterson held one for Studio 61 in Grand Marais. Both also held salon manager licenses. All four licenses expired in 2008. Oftedahl and Peterson each agreed to a $1,000 fine. Oftedahl's licenses have been reinstated.
