With Darcy Kuemper dealing with a groin injury, goaltender Matt Hackett has been recalled by the Wild and will be Niklas Backstrom's backup Saturday in Nashville.

Hackett has appeared in 42 games with the Houston Aeros this season, posting a 19-19-3 record with a 2.56 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. Hackett made his NHL debut with the Wild last season, setting a record for a shutout streak to start a career at 102:48.

Kuemper was played on injured reserve.

Meanwhile, Cal Clutterbuck -- who returned to practce on Wednesday, has been activated off of IR and will play Saturday in Nashville.
