Guys with a fashion sense, head to Opitz

Opitz Outlet in St. Louis park just got in a new shipment of men's designer stuff.

Guys with a fashion and a frugal sense don't get nearly as many options as the gals do. One retailer that easily satisfies both senses is Opitz Outlet. Yep, it's been around forever, but today is the first day of a sale on men's designer stuff including Zegna, Varvatos, Armani, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors all discounted 70 percent.

I saw a nice selection of dress shirts, some winter sweaters, shoes, pants and denim. Also, check the ends of the long rack in the back of the store for socks marked down to 90 cents to $2 each.

Other good places for men who like designer stuff include Nordstrom Rack at MOA and Maple Grove and of course, any Marshalls or TJ Maxx.

That's a quick list. Who am I missing?

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
