Through Saturday at Uber Outlet, get a pair of House of Carrington men's slacks for $79.95, regularly $185 to $220. I had never heard of House of Carrington until Uber's sale started, but golfers who shop in pro shops and guys who shop for clothes in Wayzata know it. High-end, excellent quality, traditional. Now through Saturday, buy a pair of slacks and get a leather belt free ($45 value). Ask for the Dealspotter deal to get it.

Co-owner Lynne Gonsior said that she will offer additional markdwns on featured items every couple of weeks. The House of Carrington sportcoats, for example, will be $195 Oct. 27-30, regularly $795. Sizes range from 40R to 46R, with the largest selection in 40 and 42 regulars and longs.

Here's one for the calendar; Gonsior will be offering Carrington cashmere sweaters for men and women at a savings of close to 80 percent on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Prices will be $50 and $100 for high-quality cashmere sweaters for men and women that were regularly $220 to $395.

Outlet hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays at 6015 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls., 612-869-0930.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
