Residents of the Southeast must be saying to themselves that maybe thesaying "When it rains it pours" is especially appropriate! Rain has beenpounding this region since Monday, and though this certainly is adrought-busting rain maker for some areas, many have seen altogether too muchrain. Areas of northeastern Florida have seen over 20 inches since the delugebegan.Today, the heaviest of the rain will be focused from the coast of Georgiawestward to Arkansas and Louisiana. Some areas may pick up 5 inches or so ofrain in the heavier downpours. Rivers will be running high and flooding maybecome a problem in low-lying locations.
