Guion starts in Kevin Williams place

Mistral Raymond and McLeod Bethel-Thompson among inactives.

Vikings nose tackle Letroy Guion will slide over and start in Kevin Williams place, not rookie first-round pick Sharrif Floyd. Fred Evans will start at nose tackle.

The move is not a huge surprise considering Floyd missed most of preseason because of a knee injury and Guion used to play that tackle position.

Floyd said Friday that he felt good all week in practice and that his knee is not an issue. It will be interesting to see how many snaps he gets in his NFL debut.

The Vikings inactives are quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety Mistral Raymond, linebackers Gerald Hodges and Michael Mauti, offensive guard Jeff Baca and defensive end George Johnson.

Williams was declared out on Friday because of a knee injury.
