Senior-to-be Angie Prell excels on both the volleyball court and on the track for Tartan.

Most memorable athletic moment: The day I had to make the decision to give up gymnastics, a sport I truly loved, in order to play other sports I love: fast-pitch [softball], track, volleyball. I will remember that bittersweet feeling as long as I live.

First memory of sports: At the age of 4, being able to do 10 chin-ups. I remember hanging on the bars and my coach yelling " one more... one more." And I just kept on going.

If I had to choose one sport: Track and field, because it teaches me a lot about mind games and having to overcome them.

Track and field is: Incredible. It has taught me that I will get out what I put in.

To get prepared for competition, I: Jam out to Justin Bieber. A lot of people make fun of me, but I don't care, it makes me happy and ready to compete with anything.

Favorite track event: The 4x100 relay because it takes four of us working together to accomplish a goal.

One small tip before a big meet: Go big or go home.

What is running through your mind before a big race? I always tell myself I am going to race like it's my last and run my heart out.

The best part about high school sports: Being able to compete with friends and teammates playing at about the same level as I am makes it so much more fun!

Biggest sacrifice during a season: Not seeing friends as much and focusing on schoolwork.
