Vampires are popular right now - they're so dreamy and romantic! Nonsense. They're parasites who smell like spoiled lunch meat. But as long as mortals want to root for these photon-phobic pervs, Hollywood will crank out vampire-related material. Next up: a Dark Shadows remake - but a movie, not a TV show.
Johnny Depp? Starring in a Tim Burton movie? Inconceivable! Depp's everyone's fave, of course, but does he have to be in everything Burton does? Even Hitchcock rotated in a new ice-queen blonde every few years.

In case you're wondering what Dark Shadows was: a 60s / 70s soap opera about vampires and other such matters. Here's the lead actor doing a promo for a local station. At the end he appears to be asking the director if they're done, or if he should just stare at the camera for another half-hour.
