Twins manager Paul Molitor and hitting coach Tom Brunansky are former players for the team, and at least one other former Twins star is under consideration for a spot on Molitor's coaching staff for 2015.

Eddie Guardado, who has appeared in more Twins games than any pitcher in franchise history, is among the candidates to be Molitor's bullpen coach, a source with knowledge of the search confirmed Saturday.

Guardado, known as Everyday Eddie as he pitched in 648 games for the Twins over a 17-year major league career, has worked as a pitching instructor in Twins spring camp for the past few seasons, but he has not held a full-time coaching job.

Guardado, whose 116 career saves rank third in Twins history, was elected to the team's Hall of Fame in 2013. He was a teammate of Molitor's with the Twins from 1996 to '98.
