The storm, dubbed by AccuWeather.com as the "Groundhog Day Storm," is stillin the works for next week. Millions of people lie in the path of this stormthat will have severe impacts on travel and daily routines.As the storm returning rain to California meets up with arctic air plungingsouthward across the Rockies, the snowstorm will get under way across Coloradoon Monday. From there, the snowstorm, accompanied by ice along its southernedge, will drop into the southern Plains by the start of Tuesday. Oklahoma Citywill likely lie in the heart of the snowstorm on Tuesday.
The snowstorm and icy weather will then head northeastward after blasting thesouthern Plains. The major winter storm is expected to bear down on the OhioValley and lower Great Lakes later Tuesday into Tuesday night, then theNortheast early Wednesday morning into Wednesday evening.
