Greetings.
I'm up here in the Kinnick Stadium press box. This is my first time in this stadium, and I like it. Now, at the end of my second year covering the Gophers, I've been to all but a few Big Ten Stadiums. I haven't been to Indiana, Michigan or Michigan State.
So, far, among the road stadiums I've been to in the conference, I'd rank Kinnick second behind Ohio Stadium. It fits nicely on campus, and it's incredibly intimate, with the fans right on top of the players. Hard to believe, looking down as the seats start to fill up, that this place holds 70,000-plus fans.
So, what do you think about today's game? I predicted a 24-9 Iowa victory. I just don't see how the Gophers are going to be able to protect Adam Weber long enough for him to find receivers. I see turnovers today.
But that's just me.
Seems whenever I think a game will be one-sided it is close. We'll see.
It will be interesting to see who gets increased playing time with receiver Brandon Green out after having arthroscopic knee surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben Kuznia had a couple catches today.
By the way, Seantrel Henderson is making a visit to Iowa today.
