No. Geeks were unhappy when he was cast as the crusading newspaperman, and now we learn that "Green Hornet" will now stink in three dimensions, instead of two:

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sony said the director always planned it to be released in 3D, although he hasn't shot any 3D stuff yet. I don't know if this means they have to reshoot, and make everyone make spastic thrusting gestures into the camera, or have a climactic battle with yo-yos. But if Sony thought Gondry and Rogen wouldn't give them a movie that makes "La Cage au Folles" look like "Batman Begins," they need to pay closer attention.
