If you go to the website for the Man Booker Prize, at the top of the page is a picture of St. Paul writer Marlon James, last year's winner. Who will be on the top of the page for this year? Will there be, once again, a Twin Cities connection? The short list was announced today and "All That Man Is" by David Szalay, a title published by Minneapolis' Graywolf Press, is among the finalists.
Here's the list:
Paul Beatty (US) The SelloutÂ
Deborah Levy (UK) Hot MilkÂ
Graeme Macrae Burnet (UK) His Bloody ProjectÂ
Ottessa Moshfegh (US) EileenÂ
David Szalay (Canada-UK) All That Man IsÂ
Madeleine Thien (Canada) Do Not Say We Have NothingÂ
