Several fire departments battled and extinguished a 75-acre grass fire Sunday east of Reitz Lake in Carver County.

One house in the area was evacuated, but Carver County Sheriff Byron "Bud" Olson said no buildings were damaged by the fire.

The fire started at 3:13 p.m. behind a residence near the intersection of Laketown and Airport Roads. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Twelve fire departments and the Minnesota DNR helicopter helped the Waconia Fire Department extinguish the blaze.
