Daniel Pinkerton's misspent 1966 makes for a beguiling mix of story and song. Even though this includes running away to Los Angeles and stealing cars in Reno, the 14-year-old wasn't interested in being bad, just in having adventures like his beloved Bob Dylan. Along the way, we meet his first girlfriend, Tiffer (an older woman — all of 16), his partners-in-crime, and get some insight into Pinkerton's youthful psyche. Gary Rue helps set the mood with a series of garage-rock inspired tunes. (10 p.m. Sat., 7 p.m. Mon., 8:30 p.m. Thu., 1 p.m. Aug. 14, Strike Theater, 824 18th Av. NE., Mpls.)
