Grammy-winning Sugarland headlines night of country music at State Fair grandstand

More main-stage acts will be announced in future.

The Grammy-winning duo Sugarland will headline an evening of country music on the State Fair's big stage, fair officials announced Tuesday.

Reserved-seat tickets for the Aug. 24 show at the grandstand featuring Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush run $67 and $57 plus fees, and they go on sale Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. Other acts on the bill are Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Ell.

Tickets will be available through Etix at etix.com or by calling 1-800-514-3849. Tickets also can be bought at the fairgrounds ticket office from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 19. For further information, call 651-288-4427.

In its roughly two decades of making music, Sugarland has had numerous No. 1 singles, among them: "All I Want to Do," "Already Gone," "It Happens," "Want To" and "Settlin'." The duo won its first Grammy for "Stay" in 2008.

Additional grandstand artists will be announced over the next several months. The fair runs from Aug. 23 through Labor Day, Sept. 3.
