Speed shot by the numbers
Breck senior forward Grace Zumwinkle owns the hardest shot in girls' high school hockey. Her top-measured velocity numbers include:
80 mph: Set in June at a USA Select Camp, drawing raves from four women's Olympic team veterans.
82 mph: Her personal best on the ice, set earlier this season.
76 mph: Her best shooting from a standstill on the synthetic floor at Scott Bjugstad's Shooting School. Bjugstad said the shot would have been 7 to 10 mph faster on the ice.
