MADISON, Wis. — Governors from around the country are converging on Milwaukee for a national meeting that will focus on ways to contain health care costs, improve the economy and provide homeland security.

Republican and Democratic governors alike are attending the National Governors Association meeting that begins Thursday night and goes until Sunday.

Governors are going to Miller Field on Thursday night to join former Milwaukee Brewers players for batting practice. The business meeting begins Friday with sessions on health care, the economy and homeland security.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is slated to lead a motorcycle ride on Friday night through the streets of Milwaukee, ending with a reception at the Harley-Davidson Museum.
