Gov. Dayton announces he's a grandfather

Dayton's daughter-in-law, Cory, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday. All are doing well.

Gov. Mark Dayton is a first-time grandfather.

Dayton announced on his Facebook page that his daughter-in-law, Cory, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday. Hugo Benjamin Dayton weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces and is 19 inches long.

Dayton reports that Hugo, Cory and his son, Eric, are all doing well.

"I am so happy for Eric, Cory, and new baby Hugo, and appreciate all your well wishes," Dayton wrote.
