The U of M ticket office has a new option for Gophers hockey fans: Pick Your Packs.
Starting Wednesday morning, fans will be able to purchase tickets to three games from three prearranged groups (one ticket from each group):
Group 1: North Dakota (11/4-5) , St. Cloud State (11/19 or 1/27), Wisconsin (3/2-3) and nonconference foe Notre Dame (1/7)
Group 2: Minnesota State (12/2-3), Colorado College (1/20-21) and Bemidji State (2/17-18)
Group 3: Sacred Heart (Oct. 7-8), Vermont (Oct. 21, 23), Michigan Tech (12/9-10) and the Mariucci Classic (Niagara and Princeton or Northeastern on 12/30-31) or British Columbia (exhibition, Oct. 2)
So with Pick Your Pack, a fan gets to go to one game in heavy demand, one conference game in moderate demand, and one game againt cellar dweller Michigan Tech or a nonconference opponent or an exhibition.
Pick Your Pack tickets will be on sale on mygophersports.com at 8 a.m. on Wednesday or by calling1-800-U-GOPHER at 9 a.m.
Fans will be able to buy tickets from either the first or second game of a series. Additional tickets will be sold in the Pick Your Packs from the third group for $33 each.
