An eagle on the second hole gave Jon DuToit of Chaska Town Course the boost he needed to fire a 3-under-par 68 and overcome a five-stroke deficit to win the MGA Amateur Championship at Northland Country Club in Duluth on Wednesday.

With the victory, the Gophers junior added another title to his already impressive résumé, which includes a Class 3A individual co-championship while at Chaska, a Big Ten team title in 2014 and the 2013 Minnesota State Open crown. He finished with a three-day total of 214, one shot ahead of second-round leader Ben Welle of Village Green GC in Moorhead.
