A Goodhue County Sheriff's Deputy serving civil papers on a man in Red Wing was attacked and injured by that person on Wednesday morning, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
The man was arrested around 9:30 a.m. and taken to jail. The deputy was taken to a hospital with noncritical injuries, a spokeswoman with the sheriff's office said.
"It was quite a scuffle," the spokeswoman said.
Few other details about the incident on the 900 block of W. 4th Street were not immediately available, including the nature of paper being served.
The Red Wing Police Department is investigating.
