Good news for Wolves: Pek, Love, Rubio back on practice floor

Wolves' two young stars participate in 5-on-0 offensive walkthroughs

The Timberwolves haven't had much good news lately on the health/injury front, but they got some at practice today:

Nikola Pekovic was back on the floor participating fully, and Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio participated in 5-on-0 offensive walkthroughs for the first time.

That's a good sign, although it doesn't necessarily mean their timetables -- Love around Dec. 1, Rubio sometime later that month -- have been moved forward.

Rick Adelman was encouraged that both are back with their teammates and commented how Rubio's mere presence is like having another coach out there.

Pekovic said he felt a little pain Sunday, but sounded like he is ready to play Wednesday against Denver.

Neither J.J. Barea (sprained foot) nor Brandon Roy (knee) participated in contact portions of practice on Sunday.

Roy declined an interview request after practice.

He's scheduled to return to Portland for his first game back there on Friday, but it's looking doubtful by the day that he'll be ready to play by then.
